Tenth Avenue North NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 13, 2008) — Having recently wrapped a month-long promotional tour for the May 20 release of its debut album Over and Underneath, Tenth Avenue North received news that its single “Love Is Here” broke into the Top 20 on the R&R AC Monitored chart this week with adds from several key outlets including KLTY in Dallas. Cumulative impressions of the song currently exceed six million; evidence of its genuine connection with listeners.

Following a recent station visit, Jason Sharp, PD of KTIS in Minneapolis, MN shared of the band, “We very much enjoyed having Tenth Avenue North in the Twin Cities. Mike’s passion for the Gospel is contagious and it challenged us on many levels! And … ‘Love is Here’ sounds great on 98.5 KTIS!”

Tenth Avenue North is also receiving early coverage at media with a spotlight in the March 10 edition of Christian Retailing which highlights the band’s start at Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida, where lead singer/songwriter Mike Donehey and bandmates attended college and eventually formed Tenth Avenue North.

Stereotruth.com posts, “For a major label debut, it’s obvious that these guys have a solid chemistry and know how to craft a good song.”

In addition, Donehey is a featured contributor in Youthworker Journal’s 2008 College Bound edition, delivered with the March edition of CCM Magazine, and in the April edition of CCM Magazine where he penned a mini-feature on Michael W. Smith.

Tenth Avenue North continues to make its way around the country as it performs dates with MercyMe, David Crowder Band and hits the main stages at festivals including Ignite Festival, Creation East, Creation West and Soul Fest.

Tenth Avenue North, Mike Donehey (lead vocalist/acoustic guitar), Jason Jamison (drummer), Jeff Owen (electric guitar/background vocals) and Scott Sanders (bass guitar), have been featuring its brand of intellectual melodic pop-rock on its 21-city promotional tour in support of “Love Is Here” as well as its upcoming album project Over and Underneath. “Simply, our mission as a band is to know Christ and to make him known,” says Donehey. “It’s a grand adventure.”

With one listen to the music of Tenth Avenue North, it becomes obvious that songwriter Mike Donehey and his bandmates have a gift for expressing truth in a way that simultaneously educates, enlightens and entertains. They are as much teachers, as artists, demonstrating this through their intellectual, yet vulnerably accessible songs that echo the heart of the human condition and the hope of the risen Savior.
